Yang Shengdong, director of the Innovation Center, pointed out in his welcome speech that Rongsheng Group, as the supporting unit of the Innovation Center, is an active practice of laying out green petrochemicals by giving full play to its own strengths, undertaking the mission of the industry, tracking the international frontier, and docking to the national strategy under the careful guidance and strong support of the provincial and municipal authorities at all levels and leaders. He said that the Innovation Center plans to bring together a high-level technology innovation team of 1,000 people in five years, undertake more major scientific and technological special projects and key R & D projects, accelerate the creation of an internationally leading green petrochemical high-energy technology innovation platform, and serve the innovation and development of the petrochemical industry in Zhejiang Province.

Mr. Wang, deputy director of Ningbo Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, made a speech on behalf of Ningbo Municipal Science and Technology Bureau to warmly welcome all the leaders, academicians and experts, and briefly introduced Ningbo from the aspects of green petrochemical industry, cultivation of enterprises' innovation main body, and recruitment of talents. She pointed out that the Green Petrochemical Innovation Center is one of the top ten plates of technological innovation in the province, and it also undertakes the important task of building a world-class green petrochemical industry cluster in Ningbo. She hoped that the Innovation Center could further focus on the green petrochemical industry and make precise efforts to drive and promote the green transformation of upstream and downstream industrial chain enterprises.

Introduction to the Innovation Center

Xue Kuanrong, General Manager of ZGPT Co., Ltd, made an overall introduction of the center from four aspects: basic situation, research objectives and implementation path, organizational structure and expert advisory committee, and project establishment and execution. The Innovation Center was approved and established by the People's Government of Zhejiang Province in January 2023, and is one of the ten provincial-level technology innovation centers. Taking the responsibility of implementing the national innovation-driven development strategy and the first strategy of Zhejiang Province to strengthen talent and innovation, and oriented to the transformation and application of scientific and technological achievements, the center focuses on new green petrochemical processes, focusing on energy saving and zero-emission, prevention and control of air pollution in the petrochemical industry, reduction and resourceful use of solid waste and efficient separation and cleaner production of the four major directions, as well as new materials for chemical industry, and industrial intelligence applications and other fields. During the five-year construction period, the center will invest 5 billion yuan in scientific research, set up a high-level technical innovation team of more than 1,000 people, and build pilot and industrialization demonstration bases in Ningbo, Zhoushan and other places to promote the province's petrochemical industry to adjust the structure, promote the upgrading, improve quality, increase efficiency, and enhance the international competitiveness and sustainable development capabilities, so as to drive the petrochemical industry to high-end, refinement, specialization, and intellectualization, low-carbon and green direction.

It is a ballast stone for the steady growth of Zhejiang's industrial economy and the adjustment of its structure; Rongsheng Holding Group is the main chain enterprise of our province to build a green petrochemical industry cluster. Zhejiang Petrochemical, which is laid out and built in Zhoushan, has broken the original industry competition pattern and promoted the quality improvement and development of Sinopec's industry.The Provincial Green Petrochemical Technology Innovation Center has undertaken the supporting task of leading the high-end, digital and green development of Zhejiang Petrochemical.He hopes that the Green Petrochemical Technology Innovation Center will further sort out and clarify the construction tasks and construction goals in accordance with the requirements of the main leaders of the Provincial Party Committee and the provincial government, accelerate the promotion of the innovation center to improve efficiency, and put forward three suggestions：

 The first is to refocus on the main direction of attack.The innovation center must focus on small incisions, drive big breakthroughs, and form a strategic competitive advantage of small but refined, small but specialized, and small and sharp to ensure long-term sustainable construction.;
