Recently, the conference on promoting the integrated development of education and technology talents in high-energy-level scientific innovation platforms was held in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. At the conference, the low-energy-consuming antioxidant green complete technology project developed by Zhejiang Provincial Innovation Center of Green Petrochemical Technology was successfully signed, and Zhejiang Economic TV's "Innovative Zhejiang" program reported on this technology.

Green and low-carbon development is an important direction for the transformation and upgrading of China's petrochemical industry. Catalysts, as the "chips" of the refining industry, have a late start and insufficient basic research accumulation. Some key core technologies are constrained by others, and the domestic self-sufficiency rate of key products is low. To solve the "bottleneck" problem of catalytic materials and effectively improve the performance of polymer materials,Zhejiang Provincial Innovation Center of Green Petrochemical Technology and Zhejiang Dongjiang Green Innovative Materials Co., Ltd. have collaborated on scientific research to tackle these challenges. Using MTBE and phenol as raw materials, they have adopted self-developed catalyst technology and optimized the overall energy and material consumption throughout the process, forming internationally advanced green production technology for antioxidants, which can effectively delay and inhibit the degradation process of polymer materials caused by atmospheric heat, light, and oxygen, thus extending their service life.
Currently, the 35,000 tons/year antioxidant production line and the 40,000 tons/year composite antioxidant additive production line of this project are about to start construction, which will continuously promote the development of antioxidants towards customization, multifunctionality, and environmental friendliness. Once this project is implemented, it will provide sufficient antioxidants for Zhejiang Province and even nationwide, ensuring the production of new materials.
